TVYS Percussion Ensemble

Students are responsible for obtaining and bringing their own bell kit, mallets, practice pad and drumsticks to every session.  Sectionals involve students meeting together as instrument groups and receiving instruction in technique and theory on Mondays. Thursdays all of the players are brought together and taught ensemble performance skills like following a director and playing together with rhytmic precision and musical sensitivity. Students present one concert in December and one in April.

Students are expected to attend every class, every week.  They may be excused by a parent email to:

admin@tooelevalleyyouthstymphony.org  

However, if a student has more than 1 unexcused absence in a semester they may be dropped from the program at the directors discretion. 

There is one required performance for each semester (one in December and one in April). All other performances will be announced at least 2 weeks prior to the performance and will not be required to maintain membership in TVYS Junior.
